OCTAWALL 40 - THE WALL SYSTEM THAT ADAPTS ANYWHERE

11/06/2018

OCTANORM revises its flexible stand construction system OCTAwall and adds a new toolless version. In the future, the frames can be used even faster and with greater flexibility.

OCTAwall is one of the classics of the Filderstadt based exhibition system manufacturer and is not only suitable for booths but also for smaller display and showroom areas thanks to its low depth of 40 mm and its light weight. The range has been expanded to include curved frames for continuous fabric graphics to meet the needs of customers. A new universal door for DIN right and left, various magnet and monitor holders and a completely tool-free version of the frames ensure intuitive use.

„We did a comprehensive customer survey before starting the further development of the system. It is always very important to us to have an open ear for wishes and suggestions and to incorporate them into the innovations“, explains Thomas Gräter, CEO at OCTANORM. He continues: „Simplicity and a tool-free solution were the clear focus.“ The curved frames were designed with a continuous groove for silicone edges. This allows complete rooms to be seamlessly covered with fabric, which in turn leads to maximum advertising space. On the inside rooms can be equipped with special acoustic fabric. This makes it possible to create small islands of peace in the hustle and bustle of the trade fair. The effect can still be enhanced by using the integrated ceiling element. Rooms can be entered through a universal door. What is new is that it can be mounted from DIN left to DIN right in just a few simple steps. „This does not only save our customers time but also storage costs,“ explains Andreas Dober, Head of Technology and Design at OCTANORM. The installation of the magnet and monitor holders is just as quick. High-quality magnets are attached to a beam between fabric and frame. Almost invisible, they securely hold shelves and literature racks. A thin perforated plate is integrated in the monitor holder to fit all common models. In order to avoid the usual tangled mess, cables are laid along the inside of the frames. Additional flexibility is provided by the compatibility with Maxima and OCTAlumina 40 components. „‘In combination, our systems unfold their full special effect and give our customers lots of freedom for individual designs“, adds Andreas Dober.

The product portfolio was completed by a tool-free version: OCTAwall 40 toolless. Disassembled into 7 individual parts, the frames can be compactly packed in a shoulder bag for transportation. „Unpack. Assemble. And you are done. An intelligent spring mechanism holds the extrusions together. The fabric provides additional stability. The feet are swivelling. Just perfect for our display customers who prefer small pack sizes and simple installation,“ concludes Thomas Gräter. The toolless version is available for free-standing walls with swivelling feet and as an integrated version with adjustable feet.
