Faszination System at EuroShop 2020 post report

24/02/2020

The Filderstadt exhibition construction system specialist OCTANORM is very satisfied with its appearance at this year's EuroShop. From 16 to 20 February 2020, visitors were presented numerous new products, product developments and fresh ideas for exhibition stand construction and retail on a total of 635 square meters distributed over three areas.

This year's motto of the booth was "Faszination System". "After we presented ourselves with a new look three years ago, we wanted to build on it and convey our central guiding principle to the outside world," explains Mr. Bruder, Managing Director at OCTANORM. The booth impressed with clear lines that were broken up by slants. Kept dark on the outside with geometric shapes, a variety of tinted colours opened up on the inside. Large, partly backlit, fabric prints and black anodized profiles defined the look. "All our systems are developed with five guiding criteria in mind: simple, dynamic, individual, flexible and sustainable. For us, this is what makes our "Faszination System". Of course we are more than pleased that we were also able to equip the adjacent relaxation area sponsored by OCTANORM. As a result, visitors to the fair were able to fully experience and discover the "Faszination System"," continues Hans Bruder.

The new frame system OCTAwall pro was presented, which was specially developed for the creation of LED video walls. The 80 mm deep frame elements are put together by using quick connectors and the LED panels are anchored in the system groove with adapters. "We want to make the construction of our systems as efficient and simple as possible for our customers," says Frank Wolber, Head of Design, Development and Technology. "That is why we have also developed new LED adapters for the Maxima system. In combination with the OCTAuniversal upright the LED panels are simply hung in the keyholes or the system groove using the adapter." The guiding principles were also visible in the other innovations. The new universal door for Maxima and OCTAwall can be used for extrusion depths of 40, 80 and 120 mm. An illuminated door element was developed for OCTAlumina and can be installed between two frames without tools. In addition, individual OCTAlumina light frames with plastic clips can be connected to entire exhibition stands. Movement comes into play with OCTAlumina dynamic light. Light animations run on individually controllable LEDs, which are installed on the rear wall of the light frame and bring the fabric motif to life.

"Faszination System" was tangible in the numerous hands-on areas. "It was very important to us to bring the products as close to the customer as possible. Nothing explains connection techniques better than if you can try them out yourself," explains Hans Bruder, "Also to make it easier to get started with software. Visitors were able to try out our new OCTANORM AR app in a playful way to discover exhibition stands in 360 °." This new augmented reality feature was also integrated into the new image brochure. A compact training and lecture program on interesting topics related to trade fairs, media technology and software rounded off the offer.

"Successful cooperation with our partners is an important point for us. With ICT, we had a specialist for media technology on our stand. Together we were able to implement an efficient and sustainable solution in addition to numerous LED video walls that helped to provide each visitor with a tailored information package - without heavy bags. ", explains Hans Bruder. For this purpose, personalized RFID cards were issued at the reception. The individual products were provided with scan points where all relevant information could be collected. Aside from that, EXPOMOBIL presented innovations related to flooring. OCTAeco floor has been supplemented with new features such as ramps for barrier-free exhibition stands and height adapters for pedestals and easier cable laying. Since the regulations on the exhibition grounds are becoming ever stricter, the floor panels now comply with all legal requirements and safety regulations in accordance with the European standard EN 13501-1 and are of course flame-retardant (Cfl-s1). Sponsored by OCTANORM, the partner AHA-Systems integrated a green wall with the theme of "Nature in Space". Natural motifs such as leaves and water were also used on the other areas to create a relaxed atmosphere.

The centerpiece of the booth was the OSPI bar (OCTANORM Service Partner International). "Communication is the be-all and end-all, especially for a global company with an active international network. We are pleased that old acquaintances but also new business partners meet here every time. A lively exchange of information, especially across national borders, opens up new perspectives," explains Hans Bruder, Managing Director at OCTANORM.
