Sustainability.
Sustainable Connections.
Sustainability is not just a trend – it‘s part of our philosophy. octanorm stands for durable systems, sophisticated processes, and responsible action. We believe in solutions that conserve resources, shape the future, and enable real change – ecologically, economically, and socially.
At octanorm, sustainability is deeply rooted.
With our global network of ospi and licensees, we focus on local production: „Designed here. Built there“ not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also strengthens regional partnerships. At the same time, we take on social responsibility by cooperating with social institutions, promoting young talent, and fostering a values-based corporate culture.
Guided by the UN‘s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we see sustainability as an ongoing process that requires innovation and courage.

Our Systems.
Product + Recycling
Our extrusions are made of secondary aluminium, which is sourced from recycled material and can be recycled infinitely without any loss of quality. Only 5% of the energy required for primary production is needed – a closed cycle that conserves resources, reduces CO₂ emissions and avoids waste. The same applies to our octaeco floor double floor system.
Our goal is to use sustainable materials consistently in all new developments.
System Construction + Reuse
Since 1969, octanorm has been shaping the exhibition sector with sustainable system construction, offering an alternative to the throwaway mentality. Our modular aluminium systems are durable, reusable and can be combined in many different ways.
By continuously further developing our products and using reusable packaging, we extend their lifespan and actively reduce waste and resource consumption.
This extrusion has been used since over 46 years approx. 750 times.
Digital Innovations + Efficiency
New products are created using resource-saving materials and sustainable processes. Internal workflows are continuously optimized to ensure efficiency, minimize waste and reduce transport.
We are also driving digital innovation with the octanorm ai booth designer, which allows exhibition booth designs to be created in just a few clicks. This is a rapidly growing field that we are actively shaping for the future of exhibition construction.
Our Network.
Knowledge + Exchange
Together with our licensees, we carry our vision of system construction far beyond national borders. At user meetings, we bridge the gap between theory and practice, paying close attention to the needs of our partners and integrating them directly into product development.
However, it‘s not only about exchanging ideas with professionals; it‘s also about nurturing young talent. In collaboration with design schools in Stuttgart, we support projects and provide traineeships and apprenticeships, offering the next generation valuable opportunities.
Network + Goals
Together, we can achieve our goals faster. Over the years, we have established a worldwide network of licensees and partners.
The principle applies to our ospi (octanorm service partner international) network: “designed here. built there.” We rely on local material warehouses, staff, and expertise across more than 40 countries. This means shorter transport routes and lower CO₂ emissions, as well as more know-how through country-specific expertise.
We are also actively involved in associations such as bdia, fwd:, IFES and UFI, working together to further develop the exhibition industry.
Giving + Helping
We are committed to a fair and sustainable future. In our supply chain, we strictly exclude child labour and only work with partners who share our values to create products under humane conditions.
At the same time, we invest in our community by collaborating with a local workshop for disabled people, supporting kindergartens with materials and donating hardware to schools through the ‚Das macht Schule‘ initiative.
Our Foundation.
Remodeling + Future
Rather than constructing something new with high energy consumption, we are focusing on gradually modernizing our company building, which was constructed in 1974. Electric and hybrid cars can already be charged on site, and a large-scale solar system will be installed in the future. Our goal is to become climate-neutral by 2030.
In our day-to-day operations, we also pay attention to conserving resources: a water dispenser has replaced disposable bottles and promotes the use of reusable containers, helping us to save plastic.
This way, we combine tradition with a clear vision for the future.
Teamwork + Community
We support the health of our employees by offering benefits such as bike leasing, company football and additional health insurance. Our cafeteria, complete with table football, is a place where people can come together, connect and feel good while exchanging ideas.
Rather than noisy open-plan offices, we prioritise open communication, trust, and respect. This fosters an environment where everyone is heard, can fulfil their potential, and we can grow together as a diverse team.
for a better tomorrow.
